I like the idea of using Excel to create invoices as it can then be linked to your other accounting templates. If you are proficient in advanced Excel functions, batched and automated postings are also possible and many other possibilities using Excel. You can change the format of the invoice and arrange it in whatever way you think would best suit an organisation. There are lots of flexibility. I am not a shareholder of Microsoft neither do I have any investment in them but I have been writing in support of Microsoft Excel. Most people already know how to use Microsoft Excel, hence, there is no need to waste time re-learning all the different types of accounting software. Instead, the time could be better invested in upgrading your Microsoft Excel skills.
